Stripes galore birthday hat

Now that we have this baby thing totally under control (our little guy will be 11 months old tomorrow!) and the new house more or less functional, I decided it was time to get back into blogging. I’ve already gotten back into crafting (knitting and crochet) and I thought I’d start blogging again about all the crafty projects that are on the go.
First project up – a little hat for a birthday boy. I used the Sublime “Get Knotted” hat pattern with a few modifications. Also, you’ll note I did not do the knotted top. I bought a pom pom maker that I was itching to test drive, so the hat got a pom pom topping instead. Love the pom pom maker!
I used the Sublime Baby Cashmere Merino Silk yarn and it knit up soooo soft and smooth. It’s definitely more of a fall / spring weight hat rather than a true winter hat. In fact, it felt so nice that I decided to knit Alden a hat using the same yarn. (Photos to follow!)
